Why stay in Davenport
Davenport is the value end of the Disney corridor, and for larger groups it is often the obvious answer. The same budget that gets you a four-bedroom in Kissimmee frequently gets you five or six here, with a bigger pool deck and a quieter street.
The honest trade-off is the drive. Twenty to twenty-five minutes each way to the Disney gates instead of fifteen. If you are doing parks every single day with young children, that difference is real. If you are mixing park days with pool days, it disappears entirely and you have spent the savings on a better house.
ChampionsGate, Solterra Resort and Reunion Resort all sit in or around Davenport, and between them they hold some of the strongest amenity packages in Central Florida.

Is Davenport too far from Disney?
For most families, no. Twenty to twenty-five minutes from the gates is less than the walk and tram from some Disney resort car parks.
Do we need a car in Davenport?
More than in Orlando or Kissimmee. Davenport is spread out with less within walking distance. Either hire a car or book your transfers in advance.
Which Davenport community should we choose?
ChampionsGate if you want the biggest water park and the easiest motorway access. Solterra if you want somewhere quieter with newer homes. Reunion if anyone in the group plays golf.
Are the homes newer here?
Generally yes. Davenport communities were developed more recently than the older Kissimmee resorts, so the housing stock tends to be newer.
